    The Jebao 36W Ultraviolet Sterilizer is
    used to destroy single celled organisms such as water borne bacteria and
    viruses. The sterilizer is also used to control algae and and to kill fungi and
    protozoa. Aqua Ultraviolet Sterilizers are recommended for both fresh and salt
    water systems as well as ponds. The ultraviolet lamp emits a germicidal ray
    which alters or disrupts the DNA or RNA of targeted organisms such as algae,
    bacteria and protozoa. The Aqua ultraviolet sterilizer works better on filtered
    water. Any debris in the water can inhibit UV transmission. Ideal for outdoor
    pond, pool, fountain, waterfall, indoor freshwater & saltwater aquarium.

    Maintenance and Care
    When carrying out any maintenance, the unit
    must be disconnected from the electrical circuit.
    Clean the unit at least twice a year. A
    clean quartz tube will allow the UV light to be more effective in controlling
    algae. More frequent cleaning may be required for ponds with severe algae
    growth. Tip: Use warm vinegar to wipe the quartz sleeve for a faster clean and
    efficient removal of mineral build up.
    General Information
    How the UV Clarifier Works
    The clarifier works by exposing
    single-celled algae to very high levels of ultraviolet (UV) light as the pond
    water containing them is pumped through the unit.
    The algae die and clump together, making
    them easier for the filter to remove.
    While the UV clarifier will destroy the
    algae, water clarity is also dependent on adequate pond filtration to trap and
    remove the dead algae.
    Dead algae may clump, sink and accumulate
    at the bottom of the pond. It can be removed with a fine mesh net.
    For most ponds with normal levels of green
    water, the cleaning process should take about one week; however, with thicker
    algal blooms this may take 2-3 weeks.
    The clarifying process can be made more
    efficient by regularly carrying out partial water changes (up to 25% of pond
    volume).
    Always add a dechlorinator water treatment
    when adding tap water to a pond.

    Return Procedures
    Please contact us by eBay’s “contact member” to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. Merchandise should be carefully packed to prevent any losses or damages in transit. Merchandise must be sent back in the original packaging with the original packing slip and displaying the appropriate RMA number. If package return with unfair or damage packing style, it will not be accepted (will take photo if need it). All RMA numbers are valid for ten (10) days from their original date of issue. Returned packages not displaying an RMA number or displaying an invalid or expired RMA number, will not be accepted.
